The Camarata Music Company is a non-profit organization that creates global communities through the universal language of music, by providing collaborative performance opportunities for musicians of all nationalities residing in Korea. By doing so, it presents opportunities for the public to hear classical music performed by people from many different cultures and nationalities. 96 countries from 6 continents have been represented since 2009. The organization includes the Camarata Chamber Singers, the Camarata Chorale, the Camarata Chamber OrchestraOrchestra, and the Camarata Youth Choirs.
Dr. Ryan Goessl is the founder and conductor of the Camarata Music Company choirs and orchestra. He is in demand as a conductor, baritone soloist, festival adjudicator, clinician, voice teacher, and coach. His doctoral dissertation on the Lutheran Choral Tradition received praise from some of the world’s leading choral scholars. H has recently received awards for his dedication to the choral and sacred choral art from the US Embassy, Seoul, British Embassy, Seoul, Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and Itaewon News.
Camarata believes that music is something that should be shared with everyone no matter what their situation, especially children, and thus it goes beyond the scope of concert performance with its Outreach Program. With Camarata Outreach, we provide tuition assistance and free tuition for those in need to become members of our music groups, particularly in the Youth Choirs, and to attend our concert series performances. We partner with orphanages, low-income centers, and other groups to expose all to the beauty and joys that music can bring, and believe that no-one should be left behind in this spectacular art!
