The Camarata Music Company is a non-profit organization that creates global communities through the universal language of music, by providing collaborative performance opportunities for musicians of all nationalities residing in Korea. By doing so, it presents opportunities for the public to hear classical music performed by people from many different cultures and nationalities. 73 countries from 6 continents have been represented since 2009. The organization includes the Camarata Chamber Singers, the Camarata Chorale, the Camarata Orchestra, and the Camarata Children's Choir.
Dr. Ryan Goessl is the founder and conductor of the Camarata Music Company choirs and orchestra. He is in demand as a conductor, baritone soloist, festival adjudicator, clinician, voice teacher, and coach. His doctoral dissertation on the Lutheran choral tradition received praise from some of the world’s leading choral scholars, and he received awards in the 2014-2015 season for his dedication to the choral and sacred choral art from the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and Itaewon News.
Camarata believes that music is something that should be shared with everyone no matter what their situation, especially children, and thus it goes beyond the scope of concert performance with its Outreach Program. With Camarata Outreach, choir members reach out to the community through volunteering and performing for the less fortunate and underprivileged at hospitals, nursing centers, orphanages, low-income centers, charity events, and benefits. Along with performing, the choir members often plan a day full of activities, games, food, and fun for all involved, giving out prizes, gifts, and more.
